MAP 10% Serum/ light lotion


Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate is the non / less irritating Vitamin C alternative to LAA. The following is a light lotion/ serum that can be tailored to personal preference.


Ingredients Percent usage %
MAP 10 %
Sea Emollient 27 %
Oil of choice 20 %
Vitamin E acetate 1 %
Hyaluronic acid 1% pre-mix 10 %
Emulsifying Wax NF 5 %
Distilled H20 23.5 %
Phenoxyethanol 0.5 %
DexPanthenol /B5/ Glycerin 3 %
Essential Oil to scent Couple drops

1. Prepare your equipment and ingredients.

 2. Weigh and measure everything before hand. Makes it easier.


 3. a. Now we start getting our actives into solution.
3.b. MAP may need a gentle coaxing, first take some of the H20 from your total H20 container and mix as above, a little at a time till it is thickish. In number 4. You can see the Vitamin E with some of the H20. 



 3.c. We are doing two things at the same time, saves time. E and MAP into solution from the total H20 content.

 3.d. Now we can combine the E and MAP. Done for now.
4.a. Next we look at the rest of the water phase ingredients. HA 1%, Sea emollient, Glycerin / Dex panthenol.
4.b. Combine them and mix and add the MAP and E now.
5. Oil and Wax are heated till the wax is melted and not more. 

 6. Gently warm the water phase.
7. Combine the oil and water phase. 
Keep blending and add your phenoxyethanol and Essential oils here.

8. Check the pH.Calibrate first. 



 9. Pour into sterilized bottle. Done.
